Best Gifts for Fan of Game of Thrones!

Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama that took the world by storm when it aired in 2011. Although the screenplay is written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the television show is based upon a series of books, ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, by George R.R. Martin. The books date back to the 90’s with the first book (A Game of Thrones) being published in 1996, so I think it’s safe to say that a lot of the shows fans have been waiting to, and I quote, “…see the dragons f*ck sh*t up.” And while those fans were mostly satisfied after this last season, the anticipation for the eighth and final season in 2019 is almost too much to bear. In the midst of our post season grief, we decided to round up all the greatest gifts you can get for your geeky associate who loves Game of Thrones. (Or for yourself, cause, ya know…. dragons..)

This article contains AFFILIATE LINKS. Sounds scary, but it really just means that I get some kick-back change when you buy a product in my article (with NO ADDED COST to you). The internet is a magical place, amirite?

1. Game of Thrones Record Wall Clock

This nifty little clock would be the perfect gift for any Game of Thrones fan! Hand-crafted from a recycled vinyl record, this 12 inch clock is guaranteed to make your geeky associate SQUEEEEE! Features a quiet ticker and Roman numeral numbering. How ironic that they chose these three characters to laser cut onto a clock together. #thedragonhas3heads

2. A Hand of the King Pin Bottle Opener

It would only be appropriate, really, to say Hand of the QUEEN. And nowadays, the Hand of the Queen has three jobs: advise the Queen, drink, and know things. And those who drink need a bottle opener from time to time! Cast in a zinc alloy, high detailed replica of the show prop.

3. A Game of Thrones Inspired Lego Set!

Chances are your geeky associate is both a Game of Thrones AND Lego fan. If this is ringing a bell for you, this gift might be the one! Includes seven unassembled Lego characters (Daenerys Targaryean, Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Jamie Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Ygritte, and Khal Drogo), a Tyrion Lannister keychain, and a magnet map of Westeros! What a doozy!

4. Handmade Wooden Music Box

This one is pretty neat, even tho it doesn’t relate directly to the show or books. Every kid had one of those music boxes that you wind up, and then when you open it, it serenades you with music. Usually these kids are female and the box is topped with a ballerina and some kind of ballet music. This one, however, is for girls AND boys (woot woot), isn’t topped with a ridiculous ballerina, and plays A Song of Ice and Fire, aka the intro song to the television show. Store your goodies in this thing and feel the dragon hype every time you go for a treat!

5. 4D Puzzle of King’s Landing

This is a 4 DIMENSIONAL puzzle! I repeat, 4D PUZZLE! If that isn’t getting you crunk, this is also a puzzle/replica of King’s Landing. First you put together the jigsaw puzzle that looks like a map, then you add height with a topography
jigsaw puzzle. After that you construct the 3D models and place them in the correct positions. Finally, there is a poster included that marks the passing of time in King’s Landing and shows the history of the city. Once fully assembled, the final dimensions are 30″ x 12″ x 8″. With 260 pieces included, this one is sure to keep your geeky associate busy for a few days!

6. 7″ Replica of The Iron Throne

After the company produced and distributed 12″ replicas of the Iron Throne, they quickly realized that they needed to downsize to meet demand! So they redesigned and came up with this 7″ replica. It has a metal core, so it can be used as a paper weight if one so wished; but the outer layers are that of highly detailed plastic and resin. The history of the Iron Throne is a tale of sorrow, as the swords of MANY men were smelted together to remind the kingdom’s leader of the dangers of monarchy. Enemies, enemies, everywhere….and I melted all my swords together into a chair so now I have nothing to defend myself with. The Mad King was said to have cut himself often upon the throne, as he was a fidgeter.

7. House Banners: Stark, Lannister, Targaryean

Now you can display your house colors above your throne; whether you be from House Stark, House Lannister, or House Targaryen, we’ve got you covered. You actually have to get all 3 different houses as opposed to three banners from one of the houses, but from the way the show is heading it looks like at least 2 of those houses may merge into one, big, incestual house. YOLO, amirite boys? Anyways, these banners all measure 18″ in width, and display 60 inches of proud family history. 100% polyester, made for indoor use only.

8. Dragon Egg Book Ends

For the bookworms out there; these dragon egg replicas can be used as bookends! Each stands 7″ tall, including the base upon which they sit. If you push all 3 together, they’re about 13″ wide. The green, purple, and white coloring are meant to mimic the three eggs given to Daenerys as a wedding gift, as those are the only 3 eggs to be seen thus far in the show. They’re about 10 pounds all together, you know what they say! Daenerys’ eggs’ were thought to have been petrified after years of non-activity in the dragon/magic world. If you’ve got the balls, throw these babies in a fire and see if they hatch! (Spoiler: they won’t hatch, don’t do it.)

9. Game of Thrones Season 1 thru 7 on DVD

Make sure your geeky associate has this in their movie collection! Hours and hours of entertainment and suspense. Most of the suspense is waiting for the dragons to come a f*ck sh*t up, and patience is key here. All 7 Seasons on 34 discs, all in one badass boxed set!

10. A Song of Ice and Fire Complete Book Set

The books that have been released to date: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons. All books, printed and bound with leather-cloth, in a cascade of colors. Comes with a leather-cloth box for display. The ultimate gift for the Game of Thrones fan, regardless of whether they have seen the show OR read the books!
